Ingredients for your tomato sauce:

  • 2 tins of chopped tomatoes
  • 15gm of salt
  • 5 leafs of fresh basil


To make the sauce, blend all the ingredients together in a blender or food processor for around 10 seconds. Short and sweet!

Dust a baking tray with a sprinkling of flour, and place your pizza base on it.

Evenly spread your sauce around the base, leaving a 1-2cm gap from the edge. Tip: use a flat-bottomed ladle or the back of a large tablespoon to distribute the sauce and fill in the gaps. Tip 2: Don’t add all your sauce in one go, start with less then you need and add accordingly to achieve an even spread. This way you prevent your pizza from becoming soggy from too much sauce… and no one likes a soggy pizza. We recommend using around 3tbsp of sauce for a 10inch pizza.

Next, lay all your chosen pizza toppings on top of the sauce. Be as adventurous as you want with your toppings. Try a variety of different vegetables, cheeses (sprinkling a handful of grated mozzarella is a classic favourite of ours), fish and meats. If you want, you can also add in some fresh herbs or other condiments such as pesto to really bump up the flavour of your pizza.

Note: As fun as adding all your favourite toppings to your pizza is, try not to overdo it and add too many/overfill your pizza. Flavours may get lost and your pizza may not cook equally if overfilled. Do not press the toppings on either, this may form holes in the pizza base or ruin its shape.
